Need another reason to Fall in Love with the Roosevelt neighborhood? At Eleanor, we’re head over heels…but you already knew that! We’re just trying to spread the love and get folks in Seattle and elsewhere as excited about living in Roosevelt as we are. Not too long ago, we wrote a post highlighting some of our favorite bars in the neighborhood. Well, this week we’re kicking it up a notch to bring you six of the best Happy Hours near Eleanor. Who knows – perhaps you’ll find your new favorite establishment! Here goes nothing!

1. Pies and Pints

Happy Hour All Day Monday, 5-6pm Tues-Fri

Pies and Pints is a beloved Roosevelt establishment that gives the word ‘decadence’ a whole new meaning. They’re well known for providing traditional Australian-style savory pies that are as filling as they are delicious, alongside excellent craft brews. What’s an ‘Australian-style’ pie, you may ask? You’ll just have to head on down to P&P to find out (or you can check out their website, here).

Happy Hour highlight deals include:

  1. $1 off all pints
  2. Pair a pie with your favorite pint for $13
  3. $7 Happy Apps, including Pies & Pints Sausage Rolls, Ceasar Salad, and Irish Nachos

2. The Atlantic Crossing

Happy Hour 3-6pm & 11-1am, Mon-Fri

The Atlantic Crossing, the #1 spot in Roosevelt to watch a soccer match, also made the list of our Top 5 Bars in Roosevelt. It’s well-enjoyed among denizens of Roosevelt, which makes it no surprise that it also made our list of unmissable happy hours. People come here for the classic pub feel, the classic pub eats, and the atmosphere that’s decidedly dedicated to soccer.

Happy Hour highlights include:

  1. $1 off all draught beers
  2. 20% off appetizers ($2-6) including the Scotch Egg and a pulled pork flatbread.

3. Shelter Lounge

Happy Hour 4-6pm & 10pm-CLOSE DAILY

Located in Green Lake, just a quick jaunt from Eleanor, Shelter Lounge has become one of the most popular bars in the area over the last year – which is no doubt due to its modern vibe, amazing food, and dedication to the local community. Shelter embodies its name in every sense of the word; it’s truly a refuge, a calm and relaxing place for members of the neighborhood to relax and take a break. Plus, their happy hour kills it!

Happy Hour Highlights include:

  • $3 Rainier Tall Boy
  • $5 Well pours
  • $3 Togarashi Fries, $6 Kale Caesar, $7 Nacho Poutine

4. Kate’s Pub

4-8pm Mon-Fri

If you frequent the Seattle pub-scene, it’s likely that you’ve already heard about Kate’s and taken advantage of their unbelievably unbeatable Happy Hour. Kate’s Pub is an outlier on this list, being the furthest from Eleanor – down on 45th in Wallingford (it’s really not that far) – but nevertheless, at Eleanor quality wins out, and we’d be remiss if we neglected to mention Kate’s. It’s a delightful neighborhood pub with impeccable charm, bartenders that really know what they’re doing, and awesome food.

Happy Hour Highlights include:

  • $1.50 PBR
  • $3 Microbrews
  • $3 Well drinks
  • 50% off all food, including 4.50 hamburgers w/ free toppings

5. Teacher’s Lounge

5-6:37pm Tues-Sun

Teacher’s lounge made the list – obviously due to it’s Happy Hour – but also because of it’s great name. Everything about this bar is teacher themed, including its Happy Hour, the duration of which is exactly 1 and 5/8ths hours. In Greenwood, not too far from Eleanor, is where you’ll find the teacher’s lounge, and rest assured, it’s not just for teachers and there’s no homework involved.

Happy Hour Highlights include:

  • $2 off specialty cocktails
  • $1 off beer, wine, and food

5-6:30pm Tues-Thurs & Fri-Sat 5-6pm

If you’re in the Roosevelt area and you’re looking to elevate your Happy Hour experience with simple yet elegant dishes and cocktails, Pair is the spot for you. They’re known for having one of the top 10 Happy Hours in all of Seattle, but more than that, they’re known for their great atmosphere, defined by some as ‘Farmhouse-chic’, the great selection of dishes, and their drinks, of course!

Happy Hour Highlights include:

  • $1 off House Cocktails
  • $6 Glass of house Red or White
  • $5 Fontina Mac & Cheese
  • $5 Brisket Sliders
