Summer is over and Fall is certainly here. The weather is getting crisp and the pumpkin spice lattes are getting brewed up! Rather than bemoan the end of Seattle’s warmer months, many in the Emerald City dive headfirst into Autumn, looking for the best ways to spend their time in the brisk weather. If you’re looking to spend the Fall in the Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle, you’re in luck. With the trees, the parks, the small shops, and the classic neighborhood feel, Roosevelt/Ravenna/Greenlake provide the quintessential Fall-time experience of Seattle.
Here are some of the Best Ways to do Fall in Roosevelt –
Check Out the Green Lake Loop

The trees around Greenlake are beginning to turn into the most wonderful shades of reds, yellows, and oranges, making the Green Lake Loop one of the most picturesque areas in all of town – and it’s just a quick trip from Eleanor. Make sure you bundle, up though, beginning in October and November, the wind over the lake can be a little chilly!
Grab a Fall-Time Treat At Chocolati
Speaking of Green Lake, if you’re looking to add a little Pumpkin Spice to your life, Chocolati on the northernmost end of the Green Lake Loop is perhaps the best spot in the area to do so. They’ve got enough Pumpkin Spice in tow to satisfy your deepest cravings for Fall Time flavors, and they’re currently offering Halloween-themed Lollipops – perfect for early trick or treating. Due to their awesome coffee and delicious chocolate, Chocolati is certainly a Seattle favorite any time of year, but they’ve really got Autumn figured out.
Enjoy the Fall Foliage in Ravenna

Roosevelt is great for it’s proximity to nature – some of the best parks in all of Seattle are in this area – and that’s never more apparent than in the Fall. When the leaves come cascading down, and you’re looking to enjoy the outdoors before it gets REALLY cold, Ravenna is a great spot. There’s well-maintained trails for running or rolling through the park while enjoying all the wondrous colors, and there’re two playgrounds at either end of the trail. Ravenna is perfect for quickly escaping to nature without having to go far.
Grab a Seasonally Inspired Meal at One of The Neighborhoods Fantastic Spots

Salare is a relatively new seasonal restaurant that draws inspiration from the American South, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean Islands.

Recently named one of best 100 restaurants in Seattle, Pair offers up a seasonal menu that’s not to be missed!
In fact, Pair’s ‘Sibling Restaurant’ Frank’s Oyster House recently opened to much acclaim – they offer a fresh take on Seafood and Oysters while relying on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
There’s perhaps no better spot in all of Seattle to grab a plate of Seasonal Fare than Portage Bay, and Roosevelt is lucky enough to have a location.
